6TH ANNUAL HAWAII GEEK MEET, SUNDAY APRIL 21 9 AM TO 3 PM AT MAGIC ISLAND

It's time again for the Geek Meet at Magic island Sunday April 21st from 9 am to 3 pm, come down and share in everything geek including Ham Radio. Hope to see you there.

ARRL FIELD DAY JUNE 22 AND 23

Great News! Field day will be at Bellows this year. Mahalo to Trent N2OBM for his diligent and persistance in getting the location for us. Be watching the site for updates to field day.

HAWAII STATE SCIENCE FAIR WINNERS

April 7 to 9, 2013

$300 prize: BaoXin Liang and Anna Chen from McKinley High School for their project on Cel Phone RF Leakage. Their presentation on measuring the effects of cell phone rf leakage was well thought out and original out of the box. Congratulations to them for a job well done.

$100 prize: Kaili Delo Santos from Hawaii Prepatory Academy. This 6th grader did an out of the box presentation on using coins to generate power, wow who would have thought you could generate power from a quarter, dime, nickels or penny. Very well put together. Congratulations!

$50.00 prize: Sophia Moser from Aikahi Elementary School. Another 6th grader who did a project on wind power and the effects on blade design. Very well put together. Congratulations!

EARC Logo Contest

Logo contest announced at January Meeting. Contest is open to club members only. Submissions have been extended another month to April 13, 2013. All Submission must contain the club name and callsigns

Submission winner will be selected at the next general membership meeing on April 16, 2013

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING UPDATE NOTES:

HMB, 146.980 Repeater is no longer under the control of the EARC. This repeater was put back on the air under the callsign KH6OCD. Please direct any questions/suggestion to the trustee of KH6OCD. Mahalo!

As you can see there are a lot of changes coming forth with what was our repeater systems. Be watching for the exciting changes to the clubs repeaters coming in the near future. We have a lot of work to do as a club to help make this happen and your board is working on the details now.
